Who We Are.

Who We Are.

Prairie Slam Basketball Managers

Dan Poperechny and Ryyan Koleric have coached for over 14 years at the Provincial Level, High School Level, and Junior High Level. Both coaches are Physical Education teachers and hold the necessary skillset to educate and promote an all-inclusive learning environment in the gym.

Ryyan played at the Basketball at Simon Fraser University and The University of Manitoba. Ryyan was lucky to help coach with the grassroots basketball program CP (Team Canada Basketball Principles) as well as coaching alongside many great coaches in Winnipeg.

Dan and Ryyan have coached teams that have made it to the Provincial Final Four games. They have sent multiple players to play post-secondary basketball and they have also had many former players come back to help coach. This return to basketball by former players may be the most impressive achievement for them as it shows how much they taught their players to love basketball.

The coaches utilize the sport of basketball to assist kids in their character development, encourage genuine sportsmanship and build on their leadership skills.

We guarantee all players will be taught many individual fundamental skills and increased knowledge on how to play basketball!”
